Odoo Project Reference: The Streetlife Trust

La empresa

Established in 1984, Streetlife is a youth work charity providing emergency shelter and support to vulnerable and homeless young people aged 16-25 in Blackpool and surrounding area.

Their Night Shelter at St Johns Square has 8 bedrooms and provides emergency overnight accommodation, food and support 365 days a year. The Base on Buchanan St is a drop-in centre which provides emotional & practical support to young people in the area.

El reto

Mailchimp was being used as their Email Marketing platform but with a growing number of contacts was becoming too expensive on a monthly basis and also unwieldy to manage. Streetlife also needed an integrated system to manage communication with Sponsors, Donors, Volunteers and perform CRM tasks.

La solución

During the initial consultation Octic performed a simple requirement & cost benefit analysis to determine if Odoo was suitable.

Once approved Octic assisted with the sign up process for Odoo Online.

Octic cleaned & merged the existing 9000+ MailChimp contacts and imported them into the Odoo Email marketing app, configuring tags and setting up the default newsletter .

Octic also ensured the existing Newsletter sign-up form in Wordpress was seamlessly integrated with Odoo Email Marketing - automatically creating a new mailing list contact in Odoo for each sign up.

Furthermore to improve the efficiency and scalability of Odoo Email Marketing Octic set up a dedicated mailing domain integrated with MailJet as the external mass mailing server.

Impacto

Streetlife now has an integrated solution which they can use to effectively manage Email Marketing which easily integrates with their sponsorship and social media campaigns.

There are no extra monthly costs to store any number of increasing contacts in Odoo.

Streetlife are also able to use other apps like Surveys, Social Media, Employees to further streamline and improve their communication with volunteers, sponsors and donors.
