Sales - Shopify & WooCommerce

For most businesses, managing sales efficiently is vital to ensuring success. Sometimes, when a business expands rapidly, this can become challenging. A small and busy team may find themselves juggling multiple job roles and requests from customers, leading to inevitable mistakes and orders occasionally falling through the cracks. That means unhappy customers, and no business wants that.

Thankfully, digitising your sales funnel using Odoo’s Sales app and the seamless integration with a third party connector can help solve some of these issues and make your sales team more efficient. The Odoo Sales app  provides you with an advanced sales management tool which can handle large volumes of data and transactions with ease, all while connecting with other Odoo Apps and even other sales platforms such as Shopify and WooCommerce.

Ultimately, it’ll save your business time and help avoid any potential headaches in the process. Below, we dive into some of the features you can find in the module.

Quotations

From the sales dashboard you’ll get an overview of your quotations along with the next activity required for each quotation, allowing you to keep your sales process moving. Using Odoo’s filters you can narrow down your view using different variables, making it quick and easy to manage a large number of quotations in one place.

With just a few clicks you can create new quotations, setting up different configurations to suit your needs. Once you’ve entered all the details for a quotation you can choose to save, print or send it by email and it will instantly appear in your dashboard.

Reporting & visualisations

To help you analyse your sales effectively, you can use Odoo’s in-built tools to visualise your data in graphs and charts. Once you’ve set up your filters to display specific data, you can click the graph button and create bar or line charts which are perfect for meetings, reports or presentations.

Within Odoo’s built in reporting functions, you can customise your charts to suit your needs, changing the style, rearranging data and adding or removing fields and saving your template for future use. Once you’re happy, you can export your graph as an image and insert it into documents for use elsewhere.

Products & Inventory

Thanks to the sales module’s seamless integration with the inventory module, your sales team can view all your company’s products in one place. From here it's possible to see exactly what is in stock, meaning sales can be managed based on your inventory.

You can filter products by different variables, meaning it's easy to locate specific items even when you have a large number of different lines available. Additionally, sales reps can customise their view by setting products as favourites and these can be accessed in the favourites tab in the sales module. Ultimately, these tools will allow sales reps to access real-time data on product availability and serve your customers better, maximising sales and increasing profitability across your operation.

Seamless Shopify & WooCommerce Integration

Alongside the Odoo Sales module, a third party Shopify connector enables you to seamlessly integrate your existing Shopify storefront to your Odoo system. The integration can be managed through one user-friendly interface and will provide you with performance insights, helping you to optimise your online shop and make the most of traffic through your website.

The connector seamlessly syncs products and inventory from your Odoo system into Shopify  - bi directionally. The Odoo Scheduler can run the sync automatically at the required times  and the direction and data can be configured to suit your master sales system and workflows.

The sync can also retrieve detailed Shopify order data  and import it into the Odoo Sales, Invoicing and Inventory apps updating stock levels and sales data into Odoo database and workflows automatically.  Not just that, but orders placed in Shopify and associated customer data will automatically appear in your Odoo systems too.

Whether you are using Shopify or WooCommerce this seamless  synchronisation means that all your sales data is saved native to Odoo meaning you have a Single Source of Truth. You will never need to worry about managing inventory across multiple systems and you’ll never have incorrect inventory data again.

Headless Commerce

Headless commerce is an architecture approach which separates the frontend - the experience layer - from the backend - the commerce layer. In a traditional e-commerce architecture, the frontend and backend are tightly integrated, making it difficult to scale and customize each layer. In headless commerce, the back-end commerce platform can serve data to multiple front-end experiences, allowing merchants to customize their e-commerce platform quickly and effectively.
